MMK is among the world's largest steel producers and is one of the leaders of Russia's steel industry. The company's operations in Russia include a large steel producing complex encompassing the entire production chain, from preparation of iron ore to downstream processing of rolled steel. MMK turns out a broad range of steel products with a predominant share of higher value added products. MMK realizes MMK Metalurji project in Turkey with annual capacity of 2.3 mln tons of flat steel. In 2011 MMK Group produced 12.2 mln tons of crude steel and 11.2 mln tons of commercial steel products. MMK Group revenue in 2011 stood at USD 9.306 bln, EBITDA at USD 1.336 bln.
OJSC MMK is a socially responsible company, which has taken on voluntary social commitments with regard to the residents of Magnitogorsk and the Urals in general. The list of social programs supported by the Company includes health care and creation of safe working conditions for the Company's employees, environment protection, wastes recycling and energy saving, personnel development, support to local communities and others.
