Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works is located in the city of Magnitogorsk in the south of the Chelyabinsk region, on the eastern slopes of the South Urals Mountains. The plant straddles the banks of the Ural River, with the right bank in Europe, and the left in Asia.
